Permits are required in nearly every location/municipality. The homeowner must call and find out the building “setback” distances for their specific address. These building “setback” numbers ensure that the pool is not built too close to your neighbors. Additionally, the pool should be 10’ horizontally from overhead power lines, septic tanks and drain fields.
